Vanesse Lloyd-Sgambati


Vanesse Lloyd-Sgambati is founder of The African American Children’s Book Project which was formed to promote and preserve Children’s literature written by or about African Americans. Celebrating 28 years of Reading, the non-profit produces the largest and oldest African American Children’s Book Fair in the country. The organization's mantra is "Preserve A Legacy, Buy A Book."

 She is also the host of vls journeys on WJJZ-AM/WDAS-FM (broadcasting in Delaware, Southeastern New Jersey and Pennsylvania) and a literary contributor on a number of national radio programs.  In addition Lloyd-Sgambati is the CEO of the Literary Media and Publishing Consultants.
