Join PEN AMERICAN CENTER and the ACLU for a Reading & Reception
Saturday, May 31

Something to Hide: Writers Against the Surveillance State
2:30PM - 3:30PM (Room 404B)

PEN American Center and the ACLU present a reading to provoke reflection on controversial post-9/11 government surveillance programs in the U.S. As part of PEN's Campaign for Core Freedoms, we've been working with the American Civil Liberties Union and other leading human rights organizations to challenge some of the government's most pernicious infringements of basic human rights, working to restore privacy protections for bookstore and library records, fighting to end the FBI's unchecked use of National Security Letters, and challenging warrentless telephone and internet surveillance by the NSA. Co-sponsored by the Campaign for Reader Privacy and ABFEE
