Get Caught Reading

Get Caught ReadingBeing launched and celebrated at BEA 2008, a new audiobook extension to the widely successful Get Caught Reading™ public awareness reading campaign entitled “Get Caught Listening”™is the AAP’s newest public awareness initiative communicating the pleasures of enjoying and listening to books in audiobook format. Get Caught Listening incorporates both pre-recorded audio voice-overs of traditional and celebrity authors sharing their passion for audiobooks, complemented by a print campaign of those authors “getting caught” listening to their favorite book in audio format.

Authors who have already endorsed the campaign include Valerie Bertinelli, L.L. Cool J, Chelsea Handler, Jackie Collins, Frank McCourt, Pearl Cleage, Brad Meltzer, Lisa Scottoline, Marci Shimoff, and licensed character “Horton” of the Dr. Seuss series, whose Horton Hears a Who and Other Sounds of Dr. Seuss. Video or audio recordings of the authors recording their voiceovers will also air on the AAP’s Get Caught Reading web site, which will have a placemark for the AAP’s Get Caught Listening program at www.getcaughtreading.org/listening.
