How do I register?

Attendee Registration—BEA 2016 Registration is now open! Register here today.

Exhibitor Registration—Each exhibiting company will receive an allotment of badges based on booth size. Check back soon for information on your allotment and how to register.

Press/Media Registration

  • Editorial media include writers, reporters, book reviewers, producers or on-air personalities who are attending BEA specifically to write about the show and/or cover the event for newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, and Internet; or to gain access to authors and their books for possible review and/or feature coverage. You will be required to provide editorial credentials. Register here as editorial media.
  • Non-Editorial media include all other personnel at media companies. Register here as non-editorial media.
  • Registration for BookCon press/media registration is also available through BEA registration.

What does my registration include?

Your Attendee Show Badge gives you access to:

  • Autographing Sessions highlighting 600+ authors.
  • BEA Content & Digital Conference—3-Day Attendee Show Badge allows you access to Free BEA Content & Digital Conference Sessions throughout the event; 1-Day Attendee Show Badge allows you access to Free BEA Content & Digital Conference Sessions only on the day of your Pass
  • Access to exclusive Show Specials onsite
  • Access to Special Segment Areas on the exhibit floor.

When will I receive my attendee badge?

We do not mail badges before the show. Simply print the email confirmation you receive when you complete the registration process and bring it with you to McCormick Place, Chicago, IL. When you get to the show, you'll quickly scan the barcode at the top of the confirmation and your badge will print automatically along with the tickets for special events you have signed up for.

I am an international attendee, how do I receive a nonimmigrant
Visa Invitation Letter?

If you are wishing to be an international attendee and are in need of an official Letter of Invitation, you will be prompted to request one during the registration process. For any questions, contact us toll free at 800-840-5614 or international at 203-840-5614.

Can I bring a rolling cart to carry books?

No. Carts, luggage on wheels, and empty strollers will NOT be allowed in the exhibit hall during show hours. Exhibitors needing such items for legitimate business purposes will be allowed access at the opening and closing of business each day. This is a safety issue and no exceptions will be made.

Can I bring my child to BEA?

Anyone under the age of 18 (minors and infants) will only be permitted to register to attend if accompanied by a registered industry professional. Children under the age of 10 are free with a registered industry professional. Please contact Customer Service at 800-840-5614 or 203-840-5614 to register for a Child Guest badge.

No, BEA is a trade-only event. Consumers can attend BookCon. Please visit the BookCon web site for more information.

What if I'm harassed?

Harassment of any kind, including stalking, deliberate intimidation, unwelcome physical attention, physical assault, and battery, will not be tolerated at BEA. If it's illegal outside the exhibition venue, it's illegal inside the exhibition venue. Harassment is grounds for removal from BEA without refund as well as potential legal action. We want BEA to be a safe, open, and accepting environment for all exhibitors and attendees, and if you find yourself victim of harassment at BEA, please come immediately to BEA’s Show Office.
