BEA's Launching Pad For Next Season's Best Sellers Is Open For Submissions From Exhibitors For All Of Editors‘ BUZZ PROGRAMS

Norwalk, CT, October 21, 2015: BookExpo America (BEA) 2016 planning is in full swing and officials are now looking for submissions for BEA Adult Editors' Buzz, BEA Young Adult Editors' Buzz, and BEA Middle Grade Editors' Buzz. The initiative, which has been credited with finding top talent and first-time best-sellers, is opening its doors once again for exhibitors to submit an upcoming publication of a new author or a breakout book from an author who has published before, but with no bestseller credentials.

Officials at BEA note that Buzz submissions require extensive review and while there is a hard deadline of November 18, 2015, the sooner submissions are received, the better! All exhibiting publishers at BEA are encouraged to get their applications in immediately in order to be considered and to give committee members time to appropriately review and read the submissions.

“This is our version of Project Greenlight or a start-up incubator project and we’ve been very successful in finding new voices, who have become best-sellers after making it on the list,” said Steve Rosato, event director. “We can’t wait to see what this year’s submissions will bring in and introduce them to the world.”

Some of past year’s talent include:

  • Station Eleven, by Emily St. John Mandel
  • The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern
  • Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell
  • The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace, by Jeff Hobbs
  • On Immunity: An Inoculation, by Eula Biss
  • Room: A Novel, by Emma Donoghue
  • Everything, Everything, by Nicola Yoon

BEA Buzz submissions are reserved exclusively for BEA exhibibiting publishers. Those publishers may submit by copying the link below into their browser: http://searchitfindit.bookexpoamerica.com/forms/
