Global Market Forum 2010

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

BEA in partnership with the Ministry of Culture of Spain, the Federation of Spanish Publishers (Federacion De Gremios De Editores De Espana) and the Spanish Trade Commission are delighted to announce that Spain and Spanish Publishing will be the focus of the highly regarded BEA Global Market Forum program.

The powerful Spanish publishing industry is eager to embrace the opportunity to engage the large Spanish language readership in the USA, and beyond. Spanish reading has developed a mainstream audience in the US, while Spanish language literature is successfully translated and gaining wide recognition with English language readers. The Spanish publishing industry continues to expand in powerful and innovative ways. Together this will make the “BEA Global Market Forum: Spanish Publishing” an outstanding opportunity to both explore new fields for business co-operations and reading. The presentations under the banner of this event will include a one day series of educational conference programs at BEA on May 25, 2010.

The “BEA Global Market Forum: Spanish Publishing” follows up on the highly successful presentation of the "Books and Publishing in the Arab World" in 2009 at BEA 2009.

The Global Market Forum has grown to include cultural activities throughout New York City that run concurrently with BEA at literary landmarks like the New York Public Library.
